Kares Library classifies books using the Dewey Decimal System. The major Dewey Decimal divisions are:

Reference books, such as encyclopedias, are for in-library-use only and are available on the first floor. Also located on the first floor are newspapers, periodicals, and oversized books. All other circulating books are located on the 2nd floor.
