How are the print books organized in the library?

Answer

Kares Library classifies books using the Dewey Decimal System. The major Dewey Decimal divisions are:

000 Computers, Information, & General Reference
100 Philosophy & Psychology
200 Religion
300 Social Sciences
400 Language
500 Science
600 Technology
700 Arts & Recreation
800 Literature
900 History & Geography

Reference books, such as encyclopedias, are for in-library-use only and are available on the first floor. Also located on the first floor are newspapers, periodicals, and oversized books. All other circulating books are located on the 2nd floor.
