What are ebooks and how do I access them?
Answer
Electronic books or ebooks are digital copies of books, usually in either a PDF or EPUB format. The Kares Library's ebooks can be found by searching in the search box on the library homepage (select the Books tab). Individual collections of ebooks can also be searched on the library's Research Databases page. Ebooks can be downloaded or "checked out" for reading. At the end of the loan period, the ebook will automatically be returned.
To download an e-book to your computer, you may need Adobe Digital Editions. This is not required to view the PDF in your browser.
